Where is Hugo Chavez ???

[Wahalla]

Since Hugo Chavez went for an operation in Cuba there has been a lack of information on him.... For the last week or so there has been comments on this..Excect for one tweet and one photo and now a video..

Hope he recovers from this operartion...what ever it is... (Dont get the reason for secrasy... I would speculate it is prostrate issue)

So what is wrong with him and when is the television presenter going to be back on his screens ????

Here's some items from cubadebate.com and Granma.

The first video of Fidel and Chavez meeting in a park and discussing the news is obviously set up for the news and TV people to show that Chavez is (apparently) in no danger of dying soon although in this sort of thing they often don't want to alarm the public IF the illness is terminal. We'll have to wait to see how this plays out.

If it was really serious I would expect him to get care from somewhere that would give him a chance at survival.....he has always had a terminal case of diareah of the mouth.
No cure for that except a <span style="font-weight: bold">Yanki</span> bullet. Maybe convalescence with his buddy Muammar Gaddafi ? I've heard that Libya is beautiful this time of the year, except for the occasional <span style="font-weight: bold">Yanki</span> missle that might have his name on it.

The absence of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez due to health reasons has caused uncertainty about Venezuela's future, and this is cause for concern in China. China has made significant financial investments in and commitments to Venezuela, from which Venezuela has benefited greatly. China risks losing billions of dollars if Venezuela destabilizes, and in the long term, it fears losing the standing preferential relationship with Caracas if the government changes and Venezuela begins to look elsewhere for technical expertise to accompany investment.

Analysis

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez appeared on Venezuelan television June 29 in a recording that was reportedly made the morning of June 28. It is unclear from the video exactly how healthy the South American leader is after he was hospitalized in Cuba on June 10, undergoing abdominal surgery apparently related to prostate cancer. Though he reportedly intends to return to Caracas by July 5 for the country's independence day and bicentennial celebration, it is not yet clear that he will be well enough to do so. With Chavez having been in a Cuban hospital for nearly three weeks, Venezuela has been rife with rumors about his sickness, and a power struggle among his inner circle has been under way.

There are many players with a stake in the Venezuelan regime, but one of the most important in the past several years has been China, which could be affected greatly by a transition in Venezuela's government. China does not stand to lose much in the short term and hopes to continue investing in Venezuela, but a transition away from Chavez and Caracas' need for technical expertise to accompany investment could threaten China's preferential standing with Venezuela. </span>

The man is a beleiver. Simple. I wish him a speedy recovery.
I fear the future when he is gone. A return to the paradigm that has blighted
SA. His failure to encourage a credible opposition makes the return to a past more assured. But what politician can see beyond themselves.

So it is somehow Chavez's responsibility to create an opposition?
That is the job of the CIA, USAID, the State Department.
The very strong and wealthy opposition is alive and well in Venezuela but they are extremely unfortunate in that Venezuela has free and fair elections and Chavez wins by getting 65% of the vote or figures around that.

Obama got what? 53%?
