Because slaves were property that was bought sold and mortgage taken using them as security, just as they used real estate.
May be because more slaves were dying than were being imported and they needewd the slaves to do the work so that they can carryuu on commerce.
Those seem like logical reasons why this would happen to me,but who 's intrested in logic?

Its not a question of having it in my “craw” as you put it. But frankly I was concern that the rule of the board was not fairly applied to all members.

I judge this by my own experience. In my case I had made somewhat similar statement as the one I indicated, oh yes against Tuff, and rightly so was asked to apologize by the board. At first I refuse to do so, but after reviewing what I wrote I was in full agreement with the board that an apology was in order, which I did openly. None of the discussion between the Monitor and I took place on the Board, I was not reprimanded on the Board, neither did he saw it fit to scold me as if I was a kid, or in any similar fashion as you are doing now.

What’s the reason for that?

Tuff can answer for himself I am not holding brief for him but it seems fair to me If you were having behind the screen discussions with him, then you should have kept it there. I know it’s not a committee here and you don’t have to explain your reason for doing anything, but I would have thought that Monitors are selected people who display among other things fairness, balance, patience and tolerance. Sorry if I am wrong

And considering that the hospital has offered free service to people in my life time, was a center of excelence in the Carribean to have fallen into having roaches on the floor..

Juts as you were so happy to call me out in public. Not to include implying that I am somebody else, but why did you not ask your friend Tuff as you call him, if there was an avenue to deal with it in the usual confidential way?
That is a good place to start, and after you do. I am all ears or eyes in this case for your apology. as for those others that decide to be the 'man' of their 'Tuff'. I look forward to theirs too..

As I said, deal with the matter as you must, you have a responsibility to the board and I certainly have no problem with you protecting its integrity. But the rules and penalties should be for all, apply equally across the board, not one set of rules for people in you category and another set for other, for those you deem to be childish and an anti-social person.

Look again I am not holding brief for Tuff; but I don’t care a dam for he or she who talk about “fraktail,” or clique. I am voicing my concerns of what in my opinion is monitor abuse of power as a board member, and don’t tell me I know you have the right to take that (Board Member) away, and as I say the man is more than capable in whichever way you want to defend himself.

In my case there were no public or private display or insult towards me by the Monitor, it was I who chose to do my apology on the Board, as I believe it was there I offended him so that’s where I should correct my mistake. In your case your publicly display of whatever problems they were or are between you and him, since it were been dealt with in private, it should have kept that way.
I certainly don’t need to know what anyone is banned for, but it cannot be right to hold someone up in public display for the sole purpose of insulting, maligning and make statement made to embarrass him.
That cannot be the way of the Board, and I don’t believe your authority given by the board extend to that of judging others, moral behavior, who and what they are, do what you have to do but reframe from public hanging.

Isn’t that a violation of the Board rule? You cannot prove something, but you feel free to come on here using your power of authority to make libelous, statements.

What can be said and what can be proven in a court of law are two different things, and ignorance of the law is no excuse. I presume the Board while formulating its rules takes into consideration the laws that govern liable, and have taken steps to protect itself. But remember this you are on a private BB and you are responsible for the contents of what you write as:-

This board is not a public place. It is not the front of your local city hall, neither is it the streets in front of your home, nor is it a public university campus where you have a right to free speech.

Thats taken from the Board rules.
