my thinking is the "Quality of Thought" needs to be revised rather than revived ..

the past administration got a little bit too arrogant in it's actions .. which we all know comes from your thoughts

No, I said I wouldn't comment on the Golding administration until they had either succeeded or failed in any significant way.

All I can do is point to the past and ask "Where does the hope for success come from given that neither PNP nor JLP has really been able to effect significant change for the better since independence?

There are economic circumstances and a capitalist economy that make it impossible for either party to achieve any serious changes in the poverty rate or in making improvements in the society that require large sums of money.

Further, I would argue that neither party is interested in the sort of economic reform that would make any of the proposed JLP reforms and programs possible.

I believe the thinking of the 60% of the Jamaican electorate who bothered to vote is misguided and unrealistic in believing that the JLP manifesto can be realized without major changes in either the political or economic systems which the JLP is certainly not willing to undertake.

I am sure that President Bush in his congratulations to P.M. Golding has also left the message that the more right wing /pro-business/anti-socialist JLP is just what the U.S has always preferred and P.M. Golding will understand that any economic reforms that would of necessity be to the left would be unwelcome in Washington.

You can bet that they weren't just chatting about the weather.
