With DK winning his seat and Vaz and Robinson possible JLP losers, there stands open a possible PNP take-over in 2 pending by-elections if Vaz and Robinson are found by the court to be giving allegiance to a foreign power other than Jamaica.

He was always heard saying, "sugges-shon" where the correct-shon would be, suggest-shon.

You are right. However, the stress is on the T sound then the -shon- sound follows.

Hence, quest-shon and suggest-shon and not ques-shon and not sugges-shon.

The correct pronunciation is suggest-shon and not sugges-shon.
Check any other word that ends with t and has the tion suffix as a participle.

Ahh there you have it pepper. You notice that hesitate does not end with the letter-t so the pronunciation on the suffix is not -chun but is -shun-.

The -tate becomes -tay when -tion is added.
