I marvel at how lopsided the Sunday Herald's coverage of politics in Jamaica is. I wonder who publishes it. In this week's edition one writer already has a strategy mapped out for the PNP to regain power through the courts in regards to the dual allegiance issue.
Then there is Comrade Roper who has found a way to spin the light bulb issue as a possible JLP diversionary tactic. He is not in the least bit curious about some of the facts presented so far, the expenditure of millions, the promise to pay millions more, nor about the company that was registered just a few weeks before the bulb distribution program. No curiosity there at all. None. Nada.
Golding has a very, very difficult road ahead. That is becoming clear....and it also clear that there are many who desperately want him to fail so that they can feel justified in saying, see it dey, JLP no ready yet. With the JLPs slim and it seems tenuous majority they have little margin for error. People are expecting to see improvement in very short order. In a PNP loving country they will not have the luxury of 18+ years to get things right. They need to steady the ship fast.
