I am not saying this about Tuffgong special, but you must realize that on a public bullitin board like this one.
There are spme people that takes behavioral meds just to ne as close to sociallyacceptable behavior as is possoble. sometimes they forget,or runb out of it or it just needs a little tweaking to be as effective.
In other words, reasoning withem is not always achievable. </div></div>

You cannot be on this Board in particular this forum, and not knowing Tuff, and how he respond to what I presume he see as an attack. With that in mind I believe continuation of the discussion may lead to his absence, either by suspension or voluntary absence. I value the man opinion around here, and therefore want to see him continue to make his contribution to the Board , so I asked him to <u>let it slide</u> . For that you say I am condoning what he wrote ? How do you interpret the words “LET IT SLIDE “ to mean condoning? Why don’t you lighten up?
If you want to know my real thinking of what you wrote about “the usual suspect” grab this

I said the usual suspects and both you and tuffy showed up...nuff said.....you very respectful with your retort...

I too value his opinions and want him to continue to contribute
but not break board rules to what he sees as a perceived slight

Death toll increases from Denham Town shooting

There is news coming from the West Kingston community of Denham Town that yet another person who was involved in the October 29 shooting there, involving members of the security forces, has died.

Information coming from human rights group, Families Against State Terrorism (FAST), is that Joseph Barrett, a 28-year-old man who had spent several weeks in hospital struggling to recover from gunshot wounds sustained in the incident, succumbed to his injuries on November 25 in hospital.

Barrett’s death has brought to six the number of persons that have died from the incident. One woman from the group remains in hospital and is unsure if she will be able to walk again.

Police reported that on October 29, they went to a house off Regent Street in search of wanted men, when they came under heavy gunfire. The police reported that the fire was returned and several men, including Damion Taylor, o/c ‘Sharp Shooter’; Dwight Picton, o/c ‘Max’; Jeremy Maxwell, o/c ‘Birdie’; Omar Desavado, o/c ‘Skinny Man’; and Fabian Cane, o/c ‘Beedo’, plus Barrett and a woman, were found dead or injured. All the men eventually died ahead of Barrett. Eleven persons were believed to be in the house at the time of the shooting.

However, despite this report coming from the authorities, a number of persons in the community and human rights interests are countering that version of the incident, saying that the police went to the house “in search of blood”.

“We are really concerned with the way in which the police are handling this matter,” Barrington Fox, a representative from the FAST group told the Sunday Herald.

“Several weeks have now passed and we have not heard the police coming out to say anything on what took place. Here it is that six persons have died from the incident and nothing is said about it; something needs to be done,” Fox said.

Still angry
The investigating officer in the matter, when contacted, told the Sunday Herald that autopsies on the bodies of the persons killed in the incident were still being carried out.

However, while this is happening, the word from sections of the Denham Town community in Denham was that some residents are still angry.

“Them deal with the youth them like them no have no rights. Them (the police) just go to the place and shoot and kill the youth them, all woman did in the group and them just shoot without thinking twice,” one resident from the area told the Sunday Herald.

“We want to know what will now happen to even the lady that was injured in the incident, if them going to compensate her for the losses and injuries sustained,” the resident continued.

But while those residents were expressing feelings of disappointment, there were others from areas such as the neighbouring community of Torrington Park who felt that it was just the long arms of justice catching up with the men.

<u>Gang feuding</u>

<span style="color: #CC0000">According to several sources, the men were believed to be part of a gang called the Joe Ben Bow gang, and were foot soldiers who have been called upon in the past to carry out several vicious criminal activities. In one of these incidents, sources said, members of the group had gone into the neighbouring community of Torrington Park, where they merciless murdered 47-year-old Maureen Bennett and her seven-year-old daughter, Damone Skyers.</span></span>

Police report that in June of this year, gunmen invaded the community in search of a man called ‘Py-Q’. When he was not found, they went to his sister’s house.

The men fired several shots inside the house before setting it ablaze with Molotov cocktail bombs, burning the mother and the daughter alive.

The Joe Ben Bow gang is named after jailed alleged gang leader of the area, Joseph Barrett, o/c ‘Joe Ben Bow’. Police believe that the infighting earlier this year may have stemmed from an attack on a house owned by the mother of Barrett. A senior citizen was killed in the event.

The Kingston Western police said that since the start of this year there has been an upsurge of violence in the two communities. It was reported that close to 20 persons have been killed as a result of the feud.

The police told the Sunday Herald that the killing of 30-year-old Lloyd Foster and his girlfriend, 29-year-old Cassandra Beckford, who were shot and killed by heavily-armed gunmen at the latter’s home on Penn Street, was the starting point of the murder statistics from gang feuding in the area.

Among other casualties, the lawmen said, were 68-year-old Ronald Williams and his 50-year-old common-law wife, Angela Allen, who were cut down by gunmen at their home in Torrington Park in early February.
