Well sorry sista ctry but its this very mind set that makes it impossible for the violence to cease.

In any civilised country every suspect has a right to the judicial process regardless of his/her crime,that is the bedrock on which every civilised country survives.

If you have so-called lawmen running around the country murdering suspects then it can only create the kind of situation that leads to more and more violence,...it`s either you want to see an end to the kind of violent Jamaica we presently have,or you want a continuation,...but as long as its difficult to tell police from gunmen then the present situation will remain.


If the police kill ten gunmen in their place will spring another 20,the police by their actions are not helping the present situation,they are fuelling the violence,and its not just suspected gunmen that are being murdered,innocent people are being killed,....simply for living where they do.

Any community that obstruct the police from performing their duty,in any civilized country no limit to the level of force used to maintain law and order. In many instances it leads to police killing. This is different from police killing innocent young men,and then place guns on them.
There us no claim by the citizens that these men was arrested,and then killed,as is the norm in Jamaica.
When the police do a rotten job,we should call them on it,and when they try to do it right, even if the outcome is not ideal. Unless they deliberately murder them.

<span style="color: #663366">This issue is one I feel strongly about, people may say that the security forces of Jamaica killed innocent men, but I think otherwise:
1/ There were people spreading rumours of the police looking for the 'Stone Crushers Gang', but the police issued no such statement, so they must know the gang members were present. If so, it suggests that the Stone Crushers are strongly affiliated with Tivoli.
2/ In military tactics, it is common for a small detachment to cover the retreat of another group, by setting-up to delay, and distract, by ambushing an on-coming force. The well-placed sniper(s) can delay a larger group for a long time, enough time to cover and allow the escape of others. This takes discipline, and dedication, because the sniper(s) is/are not likely to survive.
3/ If the sniper(s) moved around the interior of the building to offer a difficult target, and to cover a wider area, this would explain bullet holes all over the building, as the return fire would attempt to follow the movements of the sniper(s).
4/ The men inside the building could have hit the soldier, and police, as they unwittingly approached the ambush. In the attempt to break the ambush, the JDF helicopter could have been called in for fire-support, especially to allow retrieval of the wounded men. Firing through the roof of the building(although constitutionally illegal) would ensure no escape for the assailants inside, and would give covering fire while the fallen security men were being recovered for medical treatment.

I could be wrong, but I believe the above to be a likely scenario, or at least one of several possible scenarios. Place yourself in the position of the personnel of the security forces, and see if you wouldn't feel anxiety. To be an armchair commander/observer is very easy!!!</span>
