Dudd - isn't that the history of many ... not just "Jamaican Blacks".

History shows, many people all over the world, of all races, 'imported' to be worked. The commonality? They're the poor.

Not as high a percentage as in Jamaica. It was the blkack Jamaicans that developed the likes of United Brands,Dole, Exxon, Mobile that was Esso,and before Stahdard oil,and before that Standard fruit company.

well they had Irish,Chinese and indigeous indians before they resort to Jamaicans, The former 2 almost died out,even after they were using DDT to spray the place like paint.

the latter the had a communication problem amd they were just was not motivated enough to do the work. The vast majority of the laborors were Jamaicans.
jamaicans accounted for at least 80% of the laborors.
The majority of whom were never repatriated,(over 90% of the Jamaican blacks) in the Panama canal.
In the rest of latin America 100% were Jamaicans, because they could undwrstand English, and the ingenous people just disappear in the jungle .. the groups of Jamaican workers, too were never repatriated.
Incidentally the Jamaican workers were the only workers from, the Caribbean that could work in the US during the winter periods,during the war years. That is why they were chosen as the annual farm laborors.
