Cash Plus Limited has suffered another massive blow in its ongoing legal battle with the National Commercial Bank, (NCB).
On Friday morning High court judge Mrs. Marva McIntosh refused to extend an injunction barring the bank from closing the remaining seven accounts being operated by the alternative investment scheme.
The bank had already closed most of the accounts owned by Cash Plus.
In November, Cash Plus applied for and gained an injunction barring NCB from closing all 26 of its accounts, after the bank closed 19 of them.
But the fight effectively came to an end when Judge McIntosh refused to extend the injunction any further, clearing the way for NCB to close the accounts.
A source close to the Bank disclosed that the monies in the accounts will be returned to Cash Plus and then the accounts closed.
