Especially since he is not the only Member of Parliament to have run foul of the law, definitely a scape goat:
1/ A Member of Parliament has proven link to known criminal;
2/ Member of Parliament accidentally shoots policeman (possibly first in recorded history, anywhere in the world, outside of a war zone; chances are if that happened anywhere else in the world the shooter would be the subject of a manhunt, and/or possibly be dealt with by special police units, such as SWAT).
3/ Member of Parliament curses police, judge regards it as a minor matter (try doing that in any other country...and such persons are likely to be calling the police for protection after that).
4/ Then there is the 'cold case' of the immaculate conception high school girls who were raped and murdered, and a vagrant by the name of shorty was accused of the crime, then he was able to fire a state-appointed attorney and hire an expensive (Human Rights) lawyer, and finally ends-up in New York...dead, not long after, in a suspected contract-killing (dead men tell no tales).
Uh oh... this has no relevance to a Member of Parliament does it?? Still it is a 'cold case'...one the police should try to solve.
