Multiple reasons for this.

Other songs download without an issue?
Does the mp allow windows to see it as a hard drive? If it does, sometimes it's easier to just copy it to the unit instead of synchronize. (My phone is like that. It is SO much easier to just copy instead of synchronize.)

I second LinSkinny remarks. Not to mention using the sync process loads all kind of other stuff you may not need on your portable media player, there by eating up storage space and bogg in it down during menu selections or searches. Copying, gives you only what you need on the player. You did not say which portable device you using?

Which sync software are you using? Did the phone come with sync software, via a CD, to load on your computer?
