In the same interview, Oscar admitted to years of cheating on his wife, blaming the infidelity on his cocaine use. In addition to cocaine, de la Hoya admitted to an alcohol addiction and sought treatment in a rehab facility. The pair separated during their relationship, but have since reconciled.

Vince Young - another athlete's fortune squandered

Six years after signing a $58 million contract, with $26 million guaranteed, ex-NFL quarterback Vince Young says he’s broke. Smart guys don’t squander fortunes. Yesterday, in an AP report, the former financial adviser to Young said under oath that he arranged a high-interest, seven-figure loan for Young during the 2011 lockout because the player wanted to throw himself a $300,000 birthday party and was running low on funds.
Young is challenging a $1.7 million judgment obtained against him in New York last July by Pro Player. The sum represents the balance of $1.9 million borrowed at 20 percent interest in the former University of Texas star’s name in May 2011.
