First Download any of these Players (it is free and you will need it to play the *.flv media that YouTube Codes in. There is also option to convert the video but for the purpose of simplicity I will leave that out till the end of these instructions.)

This is the easy part do to your:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Tools</span>
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Internet Options</span>
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">General</span> (Tab)
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Settings</span>
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">View Files</span> (this should open C:\Documents and Settings\red\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files)
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Right Click</span> and choose:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Arrange Icons by Size</span>
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Right Click </span>again and choose:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Arrange Icons by Size </span>(to make the largest files sizes appear on top, first option usually sort in ascending order)
Now if you watched a YouTube Video you will see a file called:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">get_video</span>….. whatever
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Right click </span>on this file and choose:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Open in another Window</span>
Since there is <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">no extension on the file and no file associations </span>it will not actually open but wait on your actions to determine what to do.
Save this file to a location you choose, while saving this file. Rename this file quickly and give an extension <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">.flv</span>
As in:
<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'"> foo.flv</span>
Now you can watch/convert it with the player or converter you choose.
Dependent upon the way you manage <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">your cache</span>, there might be one or any number of <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">get_video</span> available. If say you watched a <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">10minute video</span> as against some others that are about <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">3mins </span>long, it is likely that video will be the largest, therefore will be on top as per your sort order. Pretty soon you will be able to match video sizes and video times. <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">If you are confused clear you cache and start over by watching another video</span>.
Sometimes when you choose open in another window the action may not appear to work. Never mind press <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">alt t</span>ab to scroll around till you see a<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'"> little white box with a boarder</span>. This is the file waiting on an input from you.
Other videos from other online sources might have the <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">.flv </span>extension already. Use the exact same procedure as above, <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">except now you don’t have to change the name if you don’t want to, but more importantly you need not give it an extension</span>.
This <span style="font-weight: bold">instruction</span> also assumes that you have setup your computer to show the <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">3-letter file extension</span> of each file, otherwise you wont be able to give the get_video an extention.
To convert the .flv to .wmv, .avi and other forms, get this software:
