Windows Internet Explorer

Is anyone else having problems with this? Every time I turn around it has to start itself over. I thought it was my computer until I went to my friend's who was showing me her new laptop. She has only used it once, I went to show her something and again the foolishness started.

I rarely use IE unless I am doing banking etc. because I have too many problems with it.

For general surfing I use Firefox or Chrome.

I've stopped using IE also, because it would always put spyware on my pc that I would have to remove everyday!....since I started using Firefox, I've had no more problems!

Its called automatic installation. Your computer communicates with the server (IE) for updates and installs then automatically. The computer needs to restart in order for the update to complete.

You can turn this off by going to the control panel and look for the automatic updates icon.....the rest is self explanatory.

Nope that's not it. I know what you are talking about, you can choose install now and restart your computer, or restart later. No with Internet Explorer the whole computer doesn't shut down only Explorer. A box comes up saying you can have it diagnosed and restart or just restart WIE.

Have you tried just reinstalling IE? Which version are you using?

For the record, I have never used any other browser since Microsoft came out with Explorer and I have never had that sort of problem.

i have the new version installed but i like the old one better

It seems like we are not rebels King Man. Most peple bout yah cuss explorer like a dawg, but I have not problems with it.
Sure every new version that comes out has some bugs but I find that for the most part it does what it is advertised to do, browse the Internet.

i have Opera, Chrome, and Firefox installed on my comp but i find myself going back to IE. the only problem i had before was pop-up and norton too care of that.
