what are you recording and what do you want to do wid it?

I do some stuff via a conference call line weekly. I would like to record it and then copy onto a CD.

Are you using a Telephone Recording Control phone adapter, or the feature from the Conferencing Company itself, to do the recording?

J Kid...I use a headset that connects to the phone and my laptop. The last time I did the call, a friend of mine recorded it by logging into the conference call using his speaker phone. I should ask how he did it. Nevertheless, he does a radio show so he has all equipment. I am going to test the ones posted here.

Compry, so you are using an internet voIP phone?

He may have used any of these with the speaker phone method: A mike and a tape recorder, the PC mike into the sound card, a small hand-held digital voice recorder, to capture the sound. Then converted it to MP3, or another format. There are of course more sophisticated ways.
