Skype Help Please

So I finally installed Skype on my laptop but I'm about to remove it. How do I remove the Skype phone icon from next to every phone number that I type? Also, just reading posts here that contain phone numbers show the Skype phone icon. I've gone through all the settings but I can't figure out how to disable that feature.

"find the Skype button on your browser's toolbar and click on it ONCE to toggle this feature off

there is also a dropdown menu that allows you to remove it

it was installed (for both Firefox and IE) by default along with Skype (you would have had to manually disable the install of each tool using the Options button that is presented during Skype setup -- yes, believe it or not, there is an Options button)"
