I could sell it but I really prefer to donate my old equipment. All my other computers and peripherals I have given them away to either charity or to ppl's kids who couldnt necessarily afford stuff.

I just feel wrong taking money from others unless I am giving it to someone for parts.

I just need to watch my spending for a minute in order to afford the new Mac.

I could very well request a receipt from the charitable organizations if I take that route. I never bothered with it before It was something I just did

Get it in before Dec 15th to claim. Conversely now is the time to check out the Goodwill because all the Companies and rich folks are trying to get rid of stuff.
