Can you give any detail - I mean - can you call JA and other countries for free?

Are the calls clear?

oh i thought your fil was in jamaica.


from what i remember: no u can't call jamaica and other countries for free...just USA and Canada.

however the person in jamaica can get a magic jack (and US number) and the call to them will be free.

it was clear sometimes/ sometimes not.( thats why i said as a secondary line that maybe u just using to call relatives in jamaica etc, and not relying on it for all calls)

oh forgot to mention that one of the drawbacks (maybe minor) is that the pc has to be on if u want to use the magic jack (make and receive calls)

Yes ceabee - you got it right - it's my family in JA keep hacklin me over it.

Sounds like what I thought it might be - another type of voip kinda thingy that works but not all the time, not all well, and certainly, not free.

I wonder why people keep thinking anything in life is truly 'free'.

Not familiar with Skype Jkid...don't know if it is in fact any better, or cheaper.

That was my main source of communicating with a family member, while they were living in different countries in Asia. You get about 7 hours talking time for about $10 (for Skype to phone calls). Skype-to-Skype customers is free.

Yes, I also use to use the web cam. It was great seen someone you had not laid eyes on in a while. They were &quot;a sight for sore eyes&quot;.
