Wireless Router Help

Having a bit of trouble with the connectivity. My internet works fine on the PC>..the laptop receives signal but is unable to connect...ran the setup program on the PC and the final phase says that their is something wrong with the installation...

heres how i have it connected


cable modem out to vonage
vonage out to router
router out to PC...

internet works fine on PC...I had it set up a different way before but the vonage would not work..this was the only way i got both the vonage and the pc to work together

what is the brand/model number of the router you have?

Is the router setup enabled for wireless access?

Is MAC authentification on or off for the wireless settings.. If on, turn it off (for now)

Is there a WEP password enabled for the wireless connection? If so you will need the SSID to add to the connection on the laptop.

Second, get rid of the vonage
Third, get verizon or sopm - nah...a hope it get fix!

How yu change deh acess code pan hit ?????? Mi ah run Micro Soft Vista an when mi guh inna deh mi nuh si no options fi change deh network key ?????

the network key is changed on the router itself..

the router has a website address you enter to access the software on the device.

Vonage is not her problem and VZ phone and many of the cable companies VoIP service do not offer as many features as vonage.. so if she ago remain wid VoIP I would suggest stick with Vonage for sound quality &amp; features

ok I sorted it out..the issue was the admin password on the router

during the installation I have the option of continuing without the password but ti turns out that i need a password to access the internet on the laptop..tonx

psssttt it is password on some routers i usually get caught on that &amp; cant figure it out for days

It is under yuh MAC filter.
