Digital Camera Question/Help

I am looking to buy a new DC, my current one is a Fuji FinePix 3.2mp, I love it but its time to upgrade a bit.

My main issue is taking pictures at night, you can't see a thing on the screen although I have become verse in lining it up and taking the picture. I want one where you can see the subject or at least see an outline.

The next thing still have to do with night pictures, if I am not taking a person but taking say scenery etc at night its very dark and grainy. So I want to fix that too.

So my question is what should I look for in the specs that will tell me it takes good night shots?

I welcome suggestions on what to buy but since I am <span style="text-decoration: line-through">cheap </span> FRUGAL I am not looking to spend more than $120, I see several Sony and Canon cameras in that price range. Any of those any good?

Canon is always good. Sony at least still make Video Cameras but I would more trust Canaon's line-up. i haven't bought any cameras lately so I don't know the specs and whther or not they have started offering backlit focusing sreen. Generally the larger the focusing screen the better it aids you and they are making them much larger now.

Someone who is cuirrent on these things will comwe along to help you but the best places for camera reviews when I was in the market was:

Thanks! I have been reading the reviews on different sites and this one in general (Digital Cameral Headquarters), I saw a Fuji that seems to get rave review and definitely the right price but I am still open to suggestions.

It looks good but I would run it against other review sites. Fuji is also known for good colour but I don't know how it transfers to their Digital Cameras.
