How exactly does it work? Okay....I want to make sure I'll be able to get on the internet from my computer. If a thread on this subject already exists...point me in that direction please.

I am assuming you have a laptop?
Most of the newer laptops have WiFi detection built in. Make sure your's does.
If it does not, I believe you can get a WiFi card that plugs into the USB port on the laptop...
Once you have the WiFi capabilities then you can utilize WiFi anywhere it is offered

First, yuh need fi mek sure dat it is not deactivated on di computer in question. There are ones you set up yourself, ones from the cell phone people, and also free ones out there (such as some Libraries, hotels, etc). Most, others you will hav to pay a fee for or be given access by the owner.

Yep...got me a new laptop...me love it to pieces!!! Great information about the WiFi card. I'll take a look in the pamphlet to see if it is WiFi ready. Thanks bunches Bandanna!

YES.

Go under your "network connections". Start > Connect To > Show ALL. If there is an "X" through your Wireless, then it is deactivated.Comment
