Problem With Start-up

The last couple times I have turned on my computer, instead of automatically booting up, I get a blinking dash. -

I have to ctl+alt+del , esc, and enter for the system to boot up.

Am I in trouble?
And what can I do to fix this?

Anyway, did you try RESTORE?
Hav yuh been updating, and running your virus scanner regularly?
How bout SpyBot and Ad-aware?

If dat noh wuk, try running ah good Registry cleaner.

Me run adware every..ummm, when me membah.

I ran adware and virus protector just for good measure, and the problem was still there.

Last night I got the automatice windows updates messages. It ran, and today it started up on its own.

Try CCleaner; cleans registry and just about everything else. Works like a charm too
