Yes you did and I dont have enough supplements to help me sort that program out

So far DPP isnt too complicated to understand but it also capable of some fancy stuff

DPP is easy to use just learn the stuff I listed first and nothing else and see how easy it is to:

Check and reject
Crop
Batch Rename
Batch Resize
Batch Transfer

Which is what you will be concerned with at the start.
Then you can move onto gamma control, spot removal, printing, etc!

Workflow the process or methodology by which you accomplish the goal of shooting, editing and finalizing the shot, in this scenario the software should be able to talk to hardware and vice versa.
Canon DPP gives the most seamless, fastest Workflow next to Irfranview that I have seen.
All the tools are on one console and it integrates well with all of Canon's Peripherals.

<span style="text-decoration: underline">The recipe:</span>

If you have specific editing task that you perform you can save this a recipe, in either a permanent file or per session then you can command DPP to perform it on any shot or all shots that you select then or at a later date.
That is a little advance and you can get an overstanding of it by checking out the Video if it still available from the Canon Learning Center.

My <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">Work Flow </span>for instance is pretty cheesy:

Open DPP (it is set to open in my incoming folder called 1-incom}-Dismiss Folder View so I have more Real Estate-Select All-Tool/Quick Check-#1 I want to keep #3 I want to discard (I rarely use #2 since these are auctions shot, there is no middle ground for me I either want them or lose them.)-Dismiss Quick Check Tool-Edit/Select #3 images only-Press Delete (poof they are gone)=Run QC again (because I am sure I still have more than one shot of the each position)-Repeat Edit, Select Delete-if necessary run QC again (till I have winnowed out all the duplicates and evil shots)-Select All-Run Trimming Tool-Get the first image-Copy Trim and Apply to All-Go to next Image and adjust pasted Trim or reject and make a specific Trim for that image-Continue till all the images are trimmed or restored.-Select All-Batch Process-Resize/Rename/Relocate all in one go.

I havent done much picture editting. etc. until recently so understanding the Work Flow process is cool. It seems to eliminate alot of repetitive actions.

Yes think of a Sports photog who has a filing deadline, scratch that, no time, shots must immediately be uploaded. A very involved Work Flow management grabs the shot, pre-process according to a recipe, uploads seamlessly to its Home Base where it is finalized and consumed.
