Most of the others do not have guides so you may have to go to the net fe guh si what is on.

A. You will need to have a properly pointed 18" DirecTV or Dish net dish and LNB installed, with a RG-6 feed from that Dish. That's it!!

Q. Do I need any special dishes or LNB's?

A. If you only wanted to set up the receiver to watch Dishnet satellites, then NO.

You can use any Dishnet or DirecTV 18" satellite dish and either a Dishnet or DirecTV LNB. They are the same frequency.

This receiver comes with a Spacelab 22kz switch for use with 2 sat feeds into 1 input. This is needed for a multidish install ( I.E. Echo 110.0W and 119.0W)

You will be able to hook-up 2 different Satellite feeds in to the switch and view 2 different Satellite feeds.

If you wish to receive European Satellite feeds, then you will need a 30" dish and a different type of LNB. This info is available in our private forums, for Silver Star Customers.

Tech Details for the Non-techie...



You cannot use DirecTV with the ariza400 ultra. Rather, you can connect up to 4 different LNBs to a 4-way switch and one output to the receiver. silver bullet will understand each individual LNB signal, and download all the channels for that satellite.

If LNB 2 were pointing at another satellite company, you would then be able to set up LNB 2 to download channels 301 - 600. This can continue for up to 4 different satellite signals. Potentially, with enough dishes, you could flip from channels 1 - 1200, without missing any stations!!



Although you cannot get DirecTV, you can use your existing DirecTV dish on your house, and the LNB, as long as you properly re-point the dish to another satellite.

Free to Air receivers are only legal because of the firmware that is on the tsop. How ever the hack that is used on the receiver to alter its intended use is nothing more that a ROM 3 Emulation. That is why you have to flash your receiver once you get it to receive echostar channells and EXpress Vu.
Here is WORD to those intended to pay upwards of $400 for one receiver. FTA Receivers are currently an emulation of the Rom 3 Access Card. Since The introduction of FTA to the Testing Community Echostar has started to phase out the rom 2,3,10 & 11 access cards. These cards only decrept nagra 1 which is mpeg 3 format. Echo Star aka Dish Network and Exspress Vu are converting to Nagra 2 (mpeg4) which is currently accessed by the Rom103 & 107 access card The yellow ones. That is right folks FTA will go the way of the Directv F,H and HU access card. They are going to shut down that data stream. There is a little known fact that dish network is already swapping out all the old roms and some receivers that cannot receive nagra 2. You can see this fact by the amount of Rom 2.3.10 and 11 on ebay. You can also see the low price of the current FTA receivers for about $150 being dumped by the dealers on ebay before the end.
So If you are going to invest in A FTA get one from ebay you can always find the files on the net. I am currently running a fortecUlta Liftime and a Dish 3m from DYNANICA. The original DYNAMICA not that fake dymanica3m (sharlatons).When the nagra 1 stream goes belly up its back to cable for me or subscribe until the release of the p4/5 and ROM 103 files. PLAN FOR THE FUTURE GET EM CHEAP NOW WHILE YOU CAN.
