My desktop won't keep the correct time. No matter how many times I go into the clock settings and update (which it's supposed to do automatically) by the next day it has reverted back to 5 hours later. I don't know if it's defaulting to GMT or what. Any advice?

That's what it seems like because it always goes forward the same number of hours. I'm not doing anything, when I see the time is wrong, I go and do the update and it changes the time to this zone. The next time I turn on the computer, it has changed back to 5 hours ahead, GMT.
The computer is supposed to synchronize automatically with the internet time server.

It's a desktop and it has been this way almost since I bought it.
I called Dell when it first became apparent, and the tech person took a nice long time and took remote access and fixed it. But pretty soon it was back to GMT. I think that after all of the time the tech person spent, he just switched which internet server was updating the time, which is what I do now each time it goes wrong.
