Who's good at making jpeg images? HELP!!!

I need a good clear jpeg image of two different things (both heraldic devices).

I can't do such things, but I'm hoping smaddy can help me out.

I can draw them out (they're simple) and snailmail them... or, if you speak Blazon (herald-speak), I can describe them in blazon here and now.

The armorial device (on a heater shield): Gules, an estoile argent, and in chief three bezants
(meaning a red background, at center/bottom a six-pointed wavy-lined star of white/silver, and at top three yellow/gold round circles in a horizontal line across)


The badge: Fieldless, an estoile per pale argent and or
(meaning a six-pointed wavy-lined star, the left half (as you look at it) being white/silver, and the right half being yellow/gold)

Richenda de Honneflo (the medieval name for the city we now call "Honnefleur") is the name I submitted.

All for a late 12th century/turn of the 13th century Normande personna.


Richenda was born circa 1165 in Normandie (the port city of Honneflo - directly across the Channel - was of vital importance to the Plantagenet kings, to medieval England and to medieval France (not to mention the Brits and the Germans in WWII). She was born of minor nobility (her father owned the castle that guarded Honneflo and owned much of the seaport area as well, making his money by both the rents on his estates and via the salt trade, the wine trade, the wool trade, and the ferrying of passengers (as oft as not, pilgrims).

Married to a noble (at the age 15 years old or so), she was widowed early as well. He had gone off to (the Third) Crusade with good King Richard, came to respect the Templars and to pledge his lands to them, should he die without issue, upon the death of his lady wife. Of course, like so many others, he died on Crusade, leaving Richenda to deal with the Templars: at times they were 'at odds' with each other over ownership of various properties, but at other times, they worked hand-in-glove together quite well.

The compromise betwixt Richenda and the Templars: She became an Associate Soeur (Sister) of the Templars, pledging her lands (ALL of them, her entire estate, including even her dower and her dowry!) upon her death. (since she and her lord husband had no children who survived infancy or early childhood) Together, the Templars and Richenda run her estates, her businesses and trade, and are filthy stinkin' rich (to put it vulgarly).

Richenda has thus far managed to avoid all of good King Richard's attempts to marry her off to one or another of his 'deserving men' merely by never being anywhere wherever Richard Coeur-de-Lion happens to be when he comes a-calling... Yet, since the good Templar brothers are always about, taking care of business during her numerous travels, she never 'loses out' when she hightails-and-runs (as soon as word gets to her or to the Brothers that he is on his way). Fortunately for both Richenda AND the Templar brothers (who stand to lose their hopes of inheritance if she is remarried off to a man less complacent than might be hoped for), Richard is not the man - nor the king - that his father, Henry II was... and he never manages to arrive by surprise, as his father was well-known for doing.

King Richard can not afford to offend Richenda - alas! - since she heavily finances his numerous costly military compaigns... but he is more than a tad frustrated by her lack of co-operation, by her wiliness, and by the Templars who always shield her from his (Richard's) best efforts to gain her vast fortunes for some good buddy or other of his. The ones above were done quickly for me by the squire to the current King of the East Kingdom (SCA), who has, it seems, appointed himself to be my own guardian angel, these days... (and he's SO good-looking!)

Can anyone improve on the quality of the jpegs without changing anything heraldically? I'd be grateful.

Anyway photoshop and fireworks are your best bet for image manipulations...

How do you propose stating Blazon in non-Blazon? Blazon IS its own language. (Well, it is now. It used to be Langue d'ouil, or "Old French")

There IS no way to verbalize heraldry in any language other than Blazon.

What I wanted was what I asked for help with: How to 'draw' or somehow make into jpegs, my device and my badge (my "arms").

At the time I originally posted asking for assistance (help), I didn't have any images TO manipulate in photoshop or whatever.
THAT was what I wanted help with making. The basic images.

Obviously, smaddy else helped me out by making these images for me, and offering them to me - for which I'm very grateful.

I'm not too sure what my "requestion" is, but my original query (question) was not answered here on J'com.

Before you jump all over me any further, I had asked... and will ask again... for this thread to be deleted, since it serves no purpose. Trust me, I'll not bother to show up in this forum again, so don't worry about my stupidity bothering you any further. I guess I'll just have to go find out elsewhere how to make a jpeg, which is all I asked in the first place. I (obviously mistakenly) thought the TECHNOLOGY forum to be the right place to ask.
