Heya
I have a windows 98 desktop I am considering upgrading to XP.. I have heard to upgrade to XP is a pita but am moreso curious if I would haveto buy new versions of MS office stuff as I heard that u need more than the licence key to load the software (so mi cyan borrow de cd like mi used to). A chroo?

The PC is good but if it going to be more trouble than its worth I will hold out until win98 is no longer support.

Well the good news is, you don't need a new copy of Office, Office 2000 runs on XP just fine. The bad news is if you want di new Office XP or 2003 you will need an activation key just like yuh haffi get online wid Windows XP operating system.

Office XP would definately be an improvement, if you have the memory capacity (256Mb is good), and hard drive space to run it decently.

How much memory do you have? How old is the PC?


Oh by di way, I would do a clean install on a formatted HD. Do not do an install of XP on top of Win98.

mi inna di same boat....same version....I wonder if mi can run di likkle pre-school cds pan it without doing a ting.....

I would suggest u check the PC reqts on the games itself. Many still support win 98..

Better to hook it up rather than have dem mash up u good one.
