I have installed Spybot Search & Destroy. I have run the program many times, but each time it gets stuck when installing the System Restore Points...Meaning: I click Check for Problems. After all problems identified, I click Fix Problems. At that point a tiny box pops up saying 'Spybot is creating a System Restore Point and the box will automatically close when this is done'. However, the box never closes. I have waited overnight and still it won't close. Once, I left it up overnight and when I checked it the next morning, the box had closed, but nothing (no spyware) had been deleted. Help Please!!!

What mode are you running SpyBot in?
Normal Mode or Advance Mode?
Look at your settings... Click the settings panel on the left bottom, then look for the text link settings and click it to review how spybot should operate.
I used to get that same problem sometimes too but I have done a few updates and where it got stuck from time to time I just press alt, ctrl, del and end the task. Then open spybot and review my settings as I realised each time this happened it changed my settings. I don't get that problem anymore and it seems to work even better under service pack2 update!
If all else fails uninstall spybot and download the latest version. The latest version is setup differently to the earlier versions and the same goes for spyblaster.
Note:
-----
Spybot works well with SpyBlaster.
Make sure you do regular updates of both.
