digi-cell-phone question...!!

Haven´t been to Jamaica for some months. Is it true that my Digicell SIM card expires when I haven´t used the telephone for some months ? I will not return until November, perhaps even January next year...
Is there anything I can do to keep it working until I get back ?
I already e-mailed the Digicel customer care but didn´t receive an answer...

Your digicel SIM card will expire unless you top off your minutes.
The length of time depends on how much $$ you purchased and added to your account on your last trip.
$1000J usually expires after 120 days or 4 months.
You can now top off online at the digicel website.
www.digiceljamaica.com then click on webflex or go directly to WEBFLEX

You can keep adding minutes before your last ones expire. But the price you pay for that will most likely work out to more than the cost of reprogramming the card itself.

Unless you really need to keep that same telephone number, just recharge when you get back to JA.

Tiger...you can also do what I did...find someone going to Jamaica and offer them your phone to use while they are there...they will top off a few times while there and give you another couple months.
