But I do know Mozilla is far more flexible in security than IE or easier to configure (for me at least). I'm thinking that Firefox is just a Mozilla official release? (Don't know whay they took so long - Mozilla has been working perfectly for ages...)

Re: Firefox Browser
using both firefox as my browser and thunderbird (another mozilla product) as my default e-mail application. Firefox for the most part has been great. Every now and again it hangs up on me, or does something weird with photographs, but for the most part no issues. Lots of plug-ins (i'm using the music control plug-in and weather plug-in) and overall it offers better security than internet explorer. Good product!

Re: Firefox Browser
Just FYI they released Thunderbird version 1.0 today (for email). I havent tried it myself yet but I hear its really good.
Cut from mozilla.org:
Thunderbird 1.0 is Mozilla’s next generation e-mail client. Thunderbird makes emailing safer, faster, and easier than ever before with the industry’s best implementations of features such as intelligent spam filters, saved search folders, builtin RSS support, privacy protection and much more.

Quit using that JAH_LESS!
Really its not safe...Any of the branded IE are risky to use because they are so integrated into the operating system. Its much safer to use mozilla or firefox for both surfing the net and getting your email. I have lots of users that constantly get infected just by using IE and I'm always trying to educate them to avoid this trap.
It cracks me up to see these ISP's offering a branded IE with pop up and spam blocking....lol what a joke that is. I know it sounds like I'm being overly anal but it is in your best interests to get off IE as soon as possible.
The above comment about pictures not displaying are because you have not opted to allow images from the site source. This is a pretty cool feature of Mozilla that helps block unwanted ads. Most ads are hosted at a different server than the website that you are browsing. What mozilla does is only allow images to load from the site that you are currently at. This stops ads from being loaded since most the time they are not on the same server. If you want to see the images just add the source into Tools > Image Manager. I had to allow a couple different sites like snapfish.com so I could see pictures in the trip reports.
Anyway I don't work for Mozilla/Firefox, nor do I own stock in their company, I just want to others to be able to use the internet without all the malware/adware/spyware/virus from hosing their systems. Whatever you decide to do is up to you, but I cant stress enough that you are taking risks by using IE.
Respect,

Re: Firefox Browser
I use Safari on Mac OS X at home. Tried Firefox at work, but I can't customize the toolbars the way I want (such as keep the address bar but not the navigation) and the company intranet only works with IE
