The only way I think you may get around the custom issue is if he is a member of a church, and you went through that church as a donated PC. Then he could get it from them. There is really not customs duty on computers,irrespective of why or who is importing it. There is a 2% cess on everything imported and that will be charged. Your only concern will be in the area of price. If you have any evisdence as to that it will be in your favour.

((J-kid)) ..everyone... I finally managed to get this working on Thursday night ..yes mi know mi slow [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

Basically, the firewall on the main PC (which has the printer connected to it) was a big obstacle. Soh mi change di firewall to di same one as di one on the laptops and bingo ..everyting work.

Did you mean ethernet network card, wireless card....? Are you talking about a software firewall like say, ZoneAlarm being on your laptop, that you matched with?

Could, you please explain a little more so that others can also benefit.

J-kid.. software firewall - ZoneAlarm.

Basically, all the laptops have Zonealarm on it but the PC had Sysgate Firewall.

On the laptops, I opened the ZoneAlarm control centre, clicked on "Firewall" and then "zones" and highlighted the IP address of my home network. Once highlighted I changed the zone from "Internet" to "Trusted".

When I went to do the same thing on the Sysgate Firewall software on the PC, it kept on loosing its settings. So as mi neva like Sysgate, mi delete it and put ZoneAlarm on. Again, I changed the home network setting to "Trusted".

I then followed the standard process of Adding a Printer (shared one) and bingo, I could see the shared printers on the home network.
