Ok so I was going through some bills for the annual 'let us see where we can optimize our costs' project and have the following


We have a family share plan with Verizon. There are 4 cell numbers attached to this account. The costs including taxes average $175 month On top of that we have a vonage landline for $25 (which is needed for the kids) and a VZ triple play which includes a landline for my mother. So total costs for dial tone is about $225 Each phone has its own expiration date with the last phone expiring in June 2010.

I am thinking as each phone expires I should migrate the phone number to another carrier with a less expensive plan with equal coverage.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce the costs?

good question...i switched from at&t to sprint and now i am on verizon and my first month phone bill is 106...but they say it should be cheaper the next few months...and thats just my line...mr skells is still on the sprint...and they charge him over 100 for his phone and he has mobile broadband for his laptop...then the vonage fi 25...i have 2 vonage lines..one for ja so that is 50 bucks..then we have to put in back the landline for the home alarm so that is another 20 bucks i think...

I was thinking of switching to AT&T skells (for the iphone) but now I dont know what to do.
My mother needs both a land & cell line

mrKia and I both need our cells and I am somewhat open to taking out our landline until i remembered boyKia doan ansa him cell phone

mine is 49.99 add 30 for internet...then another 5 or so for texting....total bill after every imaginable tax and surcharge come over 100 dalla

<span style="color: #3333FF">We have AT&amp;T and now that the contracts on all of the lines are up I'm thinking about a new plan but I don't think I'll find anything better.

We had four lines but right now it's three. Me, MrBlue and my sister. Frist line is 69.99 and each additional is 9.99. We share 1100 minutes and anything we don't use rolls over. We hardly ever use all of the minutes, so we have a lot rolled over. I have an old text plan, 50 for 2.99 or something like that. That's perfect for me, I hardly use texts, but they don't offer anything so inexpensive now. MrBlue has a text package for 4.99 but it doesn't cover int'l texts out.

We'll be adding at least one more line for girlblue at some point and possibly one for oldestboyblue. Maybe they'll share a line, I don't know. I still don't think we need many more minutes than we have. Everything that I've looked at looks more expensive than what we already have. Total bill comes to $125-150.

Added to that we have a package at home that includes long distance and internet that comes to about $100.



I need to start comparing prices. I've thought about Vonage or Magic Jack or something like that but it seems that I'll need high speed internet, which means still paying for the phone line, so it seems pointless.</span>
