Reasons why you want a website?
Do you want your own domain name?
Are you planning on selling stuff?

Re: Website
I took a look at this list. For small website I recommend Bluehost.com. I also have experience with Lunarpages. They are also good but their control panel is not as intuitive as Bluehost. That may have changed since 2 years ago.Out of Many One People Online

Google is changing their Google Pages to Google Sites, I don't know if will allow own Domain Names, but as it is right now Pages is free and works if don't need to do too much.
