Mi noh use MSN, however somewhere under, tools > Internet Options > Programs, there should be a check box at bottom of screen that says "Internet Explorer should check if it is default browser". Un-check that box.

But wait ah minute! MSN noh owned by Microsoft???
Di last time mi check it still was. Therefore all MSN browser is, is nutten but a shell over the IE browser, soh if yuh noh want fi si IE come up, den yuh haffi stop using MSN browser also.

yes it's owned by Microsoft, but it's different than the IE browser, in that it provides other services including pop up blockers.

It IS a seperate browser, like Netscape.

This is a big ol pain in the butt!!

MSN alco have MSN Explorer,browser sererate from IE.
It look more like Aol .which is also based on IE browser.

MSN Explorer may be the same basic browser, but it is a different version.

AHH!! Mi cyaan explain ie.

Top a mi screen say: MNS Explorer

Open IE ie say: Internet Explorer

I open IE my computer gets bombarded with infected files.
I open MSN and it's fine.

So SOMETHING is different.

- Repeat the procedure for html extension (or if you did the html first, do the htm next).
- Test it. If it is done correctly, it should work.

Thanks for the info.
I've gotten to the html, but in scrolling down, I'm noticing other things that open with IEXPLORE, (internet document set and MMedia flash player for example) do you think I Should change them also. I don't want anything to open with explorer until I can get the other mess straightened out.

Edited to add: CEW, I agree it is IE dressed up. I just want to open things with the well dressed browser. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

You can change anything that opens with IE since you don't want to use it.
