Recent information heading my way is that an employee of an alarm monitoring company was fired cause he was lstening in on the clients
One way to safeguard, I gather, is to find out if the company has audit trails of each time your system is remotely accessed. Ask them for a record. and compare this with the times your household had dialogue with them.
If you have variations or if they can't satisfy you, you may want to look into changing your system or provider.
