I am pretty sure I am going to buy this camera.





There are much better deals on-line, so I will probably purchase on-line.

I came up this as a recommended accessory:

dat a one sinting dat can read virtually any kind of digital camera disk/storage disk etc..

so whatever kind of card the camera use, more than likely the 7 in 1 flash reader can read it.

Your camera will save the pictures on these little flash cards. Instead of taking your camera to a docking station, plugging it in, connecting to PC, download images off camera to PC....Instead of this headache, you simply pop out the flash card and slip it into that reader and copy the files to your PC.

Nope, don't need it. If you had 5 camera's using different size flash cards then it would be a good idea. But with just one camera you can use the default method/software that comes with your camera and do the same thing.

I think I am going to buy the camera first, and then once I figure out what I am doing, I will go for the accessories.

If you buy this camera you will only need a reader for a:

SD or Smart Disk Card.
As Reby says you only need it if you have other cameras using other media.

My advice for you if you are going to buy a camera that produces 5 Mega pixels get a New Canon, if is close to the price range.
Of course I am partial to canon but I think they are generally better Digital Cameras.

Dont buy a used digital camera unless you can see it and touch it.

I was leaning towards Canon, but I discovered this camera. I prefer it because the zoom takes place internally. It does not have a protruding/moving external lens.

I hear that these lenses (is that a word?) are very delicate. The protruding lens seems to be the thing that gives the most problems with digital cameras.

Yes you are correct they tend to be difficult. I just like canon because the make good photo equipment. The internal focusing should reduce the Zoom failures considerably.

Here's another GREAT site on many digital cameras. I use it often to tutor myself on best using the options of my camera. I find it much more user friendly than my manual, I can call up a subject and sit here and play with it at the same time...
