Can someone answer me this...?

If I use Skype to call anywhere in Canada and the U.S. or anywhere in the world for that matter. Can I use it also to make local calls (my neighbour etc...)?

What I am getting at is if I use the Skype application on my iPhone can I just use the data portion of my phone to make local and long distance calls, thus making my voice plan redundant. If I could cut out my voice plan it would cut my wireless bill in half.

Yes, if both of you hav quality WebCams, or if yuh use a video camera as a webcam.

Never mind! I visited the Skype site, got the answers I was looking for. Seems that I can cut my mobile phone bill in half when the contract runs out if I begin using Skype to make and receive calls (both local and long distance).

Can yuh really just get di data plan without, having regular phone service contract tied to it?

That I'm not sure of J kid. I can't see a reason why not but then you know the mobile companies, they have their little ways of ruining a well thought out plan with their chupid restrictions.
