Zune vs Ipod

i was about to buy an Ipod this week for the first time and then I saw an add for Zune's that they say are comparable.

well when i visited the webist it doesnt give you enuff to compare in my mind.

so has anyone owned a Zune? or know enough about them to compare to an Ipod?

well, what do you love about it

how u thnk it rate next to the Ipod?

it hold just as much music and video?

is it easy to use and sync with your PC and stuff?

iPod more universally accepted. When I say that I give the example of my gym. All the cardio equipment has special plugins available fo the iPod. You just plug in your headphones directly to the cardio equipment once your iPod is connectd and your good to go.

I have the iPhone which has an built-in iPod and am happy with it so far. The quality of the earphones that came with it however were average at best. I went to Ciruit City and picked up a set of ear buds and now it sounds much better IMHO.

i never heard of Zune til now, so hence my curiousity to how many ppl actually have it and such.

I love my new iPOd. I only listen to it in my car, &quot;no more radio staions playing the same music over and over again!&quot; I have a little over 1000 songs on mine already, I got it this March. They are addictive, when my ex boss gave me my first one I didn't know how to download anything.

She taught me on their laptop and set it up for me to download anything I wanted. After a year, I forgot it in my jeans pocket and washed and dried it.

nylah, i am here to say i have a zune. but, little did i know when i purchased it, it was not just some new version of an ipod.

so, my zune works well and i have no complaints about it. but, as milo said you will find the ipod much more versatile.

thanks for the input bink. Never heard of Zune until 3 days ago actually

but I think I will try the iPod only because it seems more universally accepted. I checked with my gym that I want to start attending and they didnt think their system would be compatible with Zune.

I havent owned a personal music system like this since the 1980's when the original walkman did come out

Kinda looking forward to the learning curve

I have no idea why I have been resistant to come into the 21st century and buy one of these things

I kinda viewed them with the same disdain as a blackberry and now that I have a blackberry and love the thing, I figure it is time to get an iPod too

well maybe not.. ur blackberry can play music too you know. and you can add the SD card in there with your music so it wont encroach on your space..


and save urself the for something else. like a new bag

Keyer, please to not give me options My head started to explode when I read about the blackberry music thingy.

It has taken me 6 months of re-reading the Apple website to finally decide to buy one. I dont want to hear about alternatives at this moment thank you very much

Besides I have a birthday coming up so I will put in my request for a new bag and have someone else foot the bill
