Re: How do I clean my browser (to hide my tracks on the internet).
Not sure if you wanted to delete from IE or hard drive, so i gave you both options
from the Hard Drive:
older versions of windows
To delete temporary files: On your desktop, double-click "My Computer" and then double-click "Windows". You will need to delete the files WITHIN all folders with the word "temporary" in them (but don't delete the actual folders, themselves.) Double-click to open each folder. Then go up to "Edit" on the menu bar and down to "Select All". Then press the delete button on your keyboard.
Newer versions of Windows (XP): Go to "Start", up to "Accessories", over to "System Tools", and over to "Disk Cleanup". Your computer will take a few minutes to determine how much space you'll recover by cleaning up your disk. When the dialogue box pops up telling how much space disk cleanup will recover, click "Ok". Then, click "Yes" when it asks you if you're sure.
--------------------------------------------
From the Internet Explorer menu bar select "Tools" and then click on "Internet Options".
From the Internet Options dialog box click on the tab at the top labeled "Advanced". Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to the section labeled "Security". Place a check next to the item "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" by clicking in the empty check box.
Close the Internet Options dialog box by clicking on the "OK" button.
OR
you can make use of the Disk Cleanup feature to have your computer automatically delete temporary Internet files on a regular schedule.

Also you can do a "google" seach for: "freeware clean trail" or
"freeware clean tracks" for FREE software to make the process easier. Some of them will also automate the process for you.
