I see a Brother multitask printer on sale going cheap can a Brotehr printer work with a Gateway computer?

Probably, what model # of printer (or provide web link), and what operating system are you using?
You usually just power down your PC, install printer & plugin cables. Then turn on PC and most current OS like XP should auto-install. If not go to the Brother website and check Download/Support section for a driver based on your OS.
