Integrating a MAC into a PC network

Is this a pain to do?

Current Hardware on the network
VZ Fios router (so it connects with TV and alla dat stuff)
Vonage adapter (the old time MTS but it still work )
Laptop
Networked Printer
HP Media Vault
The dying Dell


If I wanted to add a Mac mini to replace the Dell would I be able to connect it through the network and print to the network printer and also print to an existing older printer that was dedicated to the dying dell?


What are some issues I should be aware of?

</div></div> It reallyd oes not matter. The network that you use at home like VZ etc is not the same as at theo ffice, that actually is dependent on one main computer being on.

each computer are independently tethered to the incomming line. So it really does not matter. It is just like WIFI system.
I have a MAC that my wife use and it just picked up the service after the software was loadedm with ni proiblem at all.
Can you imagine thes large corporations relying on home networks for their income and allow a common problem as that to crop up??

Won't matter, just hav fi configure di Mac fi si di network, an gi di Mac security permission fi log on pan yuh network.

Right now I still am reloading the kids dell.. I have windows xp svc pack 2 , internet access, antivirus, firefox and the HP vault software

Now I want the desktop to backup to the vault but ie cyan see the other hardware on the network..

I dont recall having this issue with the laptop and cyan memba what to do to mek de xp desktop connect with the other elements (the printer, the vault and the other laptop) on the network

Or you did not have them turn on while you were doingit.
