Help!!!

J-Kid:
Please advise.
Everytime I visit Ja.Com I seem to end up with problems.
My computer has been in and out of the shop for a good while now and I need to know how to prevent the problem.
Any suggestions?

In order to help J-Kid out, can you describe what kind of computer you have (Operating System,Memory, Hard drive space) and the types of problems you have been having (virus related, blue screens, etc)

Also what have you allegedly been clicking on at JA.com to create the issues that you believe originated on this web site?

That's exactly what I am not sure about. It could come from anywhere.

I seemed to have no interruption of activity when I visited other sites but whenever I signed off from Ja.Com and shutdown, my computer would not respond the following day. Sometimes I could not even get to the screen that says Microsoft; only bleeping noises.

When I was invited to do the Coodeh interview, even though I was busy, I tried to get on at night and just could not. For a while I thought it might have been technical problems from here but it became regular.

The final straw was when it opened up on Christmas Day with all kinds of rubbish on the screen.

Like I said, I have no idea from where it may have originated and you may recall that I asked you privately if it could have been possible for someone online to use my computer in inappropriate ways.

Perhaps I should visit all sites from the cafe rather than from my home computer. That's probably whatI need some rudimentary lessons in. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Some computer won't boot while a floppy disk inserted in the system.

Remove any cd or floppy from system and try again.

If that won't work probley a corrupted file might be the problem.

If you just install some thing before the shut down, remove it and try again.

Wait and hear what the pro have to say.

Sounds like its time for you to just format the drive and re-install the system from your rescue disk. Too much trouble to go and try to troubleshoot. I think I remember recommending to you before, to get a firewall.
