Di dreaded Blue Screen of Death!

1) ran <span style="font-weight: bold">full diagnostics</span> - passed
2) changed <span style="font-weight: bold">boot from CD-ROM</span> to first position (in setup) using reinstallation disc - DID NOT WORK
3) <span style="font-weight: bold">safemode using last good configuration</span> - DID NOT WORK
4) <span style="font-weight: bold">system restore</span> - no restore point exists - will not let me proceed


<span style="text-decoration: underline">error is</span>: driver_irql_less or_equal ... ***STOP: 0x000000D1
<span style="font-style: italic">is it a driver and, if so, how do I identify the prablem driver? run debug?</span>



good news ... I am running on safemode with networking right now

guess you goin to the library eh? - -

copy &amp; paste the <span style="font-style: italic">exact</span> error message, and google it. you should get a bunch of different matches on ways to fix it. might have to sort thru a few and read thru some geek language, but it's worth it and it works. have rescued my system from the BSOD a few times this way.

What Operating System?
Laptop or regular PC?
I assume this is you only system?
Do you have a copy of you Operating System on Disk or just a Factory Restore Disk?

Do you have any USB devices plugged into your laptop?

If so, try unplugging all of them and try to reboot.

I couldn't leave it alone and call a professional ... no, not me ...
I messed around with the reinstallation disc until I got it to start the install process and then *poof*

now I can't complete the install nor cancel it and safemode is no longer an option
