My friend dropped my camera Friday night and I keep getting the error, "Lens error, restart camera". Been trying to restart since Friday and I keep getting the same error.

It's a Canon Power Shot.
Any advise? </div></div> Have you tried remiving thebatteries and holding the restart buton for awhile and totally erace the program. Then give it about 20 minutes then put in the batteries and if it does not start on it's own then you try and reset it.
I came back to delete this thread. I did a google search on "restart canon powershot sd600" and found an answer that worked. I tapped the lens while holding the power button down and thank God it worked.

I will take that extra camera now. The display screen isn't displaying. It actually looks like a broken window.
(((Compray))). I just bought a Nikon D3000 and LOVE IT!!! It is a great affordable entry level dslr. I see I could very well end up growing out of it but that's OK, it hasn't been mind boggling to learn to use. Larger than point and shoot but for picture quality it's worth the extra size!
