however I really just want to switch out the SIM to a less complicated phone for likkelgen which I already own.

oh yuh got jokes ?

mi already have it disable with the cell phone company suh she can try txt all she want PLUS she have a really basic phone wid 2 button pan it and no outgoing text capabilities.

the phone above is just a backup and offered to me free when I added the 2nd line for her.
