Excel columns question

How do I change the view to show columns as number instead of letters?

More detailed: when you open excel the blank spreadsheet has row numbers on the side and column letters on the top.

I changed the view once before, but now I don't recall where that function is.

Tools, Options, General tab, check R1C1 Reference Style
