Yahoo increased storage to 1 gig for free e-mail

Woke up to a good surprise this morning.

Yahoo increased its free storage from 250 meg. to 1 gigabyte of storage on its free e-mail.

More space for all that spam.

Of course, Microsoft is still left behind at 250 megs.

I recently got in invite and got a free 2 gigabyte G-mail e-mail accounts.

If anyone here wants an invite for a free g-mail 2 gigabyte account, let me know.

In that way Microsoft is a vulture!!! all of Polish www portals gi yuh 1 gb fi your e-mails in standard fi free!

The problem with Yahoo's mail platform is they don't monitor for spammers. It got out of hand and I had to ban all @yahoo.com emails on my servers.

Hotmail and Gmail do a much better job of monitoring for spammers. I dunno what's up with Yahoo but they can hardly compete in the market until they can prevent from being a spam portal.

I think its funny how they keep up'ing the storage limits. Email is NOT a file server. Its a way to communicate with text and images. Why they think you need that much space is beyond me. Who would fill up their account with that much email?

Because they believe people shouldn't of to delete there inbox to make way for new emaail.

I think they are going get rid of the delete button soon.
