Mozilla Firefox Question.

Sometimes when browsing these boards I can not view pictures others have posted. I have to launch Internet Explorer in order to see them.

I love using Firefox instead of IE and would love to be able to solve this. Any suggestions?

Some pages does not allow browsers other than internet Explorer to view them.
As a matter of fact Microsoft has a warning about not being ablt to view some scripts with IE fater down loading the latest Netscape 8 version.

Milo, make sure that there isn't a little (yellow?) message box at the top saying that some content(s) have been blocked....often, if you click on the unblock thingie within that.....voila!

Its probably the remote images. There is an option that blocks images that are not loading from the site you are at. Example - Somebody posts images from shutterfly (or wherever) and since the image is not loading from jamaicans.com your browser ignores it. Its popular because most ads are loaded remotely (which is why some pages load slowly). To speed things up and to get rid of some of the ads users have resorted to using this remote image blocking.

In Firefox you can add sites that are allowed to remote load by going Tools > Options > Web Features > Uncheck for the originating website only or use Exceptions to allow/deny (or you can disable the remote blocking feature here)

I love Firefox just for stuff like that.

A little while ago another board I frequent was hacked, a virus was running in an Active X control on the page.

I only heard about it because OTHER people (using IE) got the virus.

Me, I have Firefox and it doesn't run Active X controls, by default.

Firefox is really good...much faster than the other browsers...
