I hear you. It seems like with each update VISTA goes from worse to WORSAH. I did the update last week on my PC and my start up is slower than molasses. It takes almost 15 minutes to load before it get to the start up screen. I did the start up repair nothing. I did the restore to an "old point" still nothing. Dem need fe dash weh dis OS weh grass nuh grow...I would seriously consider a MAC as my main computer but the thought of converting all the files.

Consider the Mac and have a Windows XP side on it. I have a MacBook Pro running Parallels Windows XP and it works great. I use Windows on a "as needed" basis.

Vista hurt my head tuh much. I hear Windows 7 is much better but bwoy, mi a get fraid ah all a di Windows OS dem now. Nyam up to much resources man.

A regular marketting ploy.
They usually send out lots of error in the updates they issue prior to their issuing a new OS. That is one reason why I don't do automatic updates, and I usually wait and see what is the problem after every update.Then update after it is resolved.

Yep, I know we are the testers for each version of the software that come up. I normally do the manual updates after I think it is &quot;safe&quot;. This time it was not.

my laptop have a credible microsoft software on it, now after auto updates, all of a sudden me fail the license test,

and now dem want me to buy new software~

mek dem guwhey, and tek whey dem self~~

i keep for now going around the notification thing, i hope dem no get pan me blasted nerves wid dis!!

I felt so &quot;behind the times&quot; for hanging onto my old PC running Windows ME.

Truth be told, my new laptop with Vista is causing me more grief than the old clunker I had for ten + years.

vista = gyabage can mi install the update and the laptop would not boot had to go restore to pre service back update

If mi eva hav ah brief moment ah insanity an decide fi install Vista, mi would haff strip ie dung. Mi would find all di non essential components mi noh waa use, an shut dem dung wan-by-wan. Of coures dis would bi time consuming, but it would bi worth it in di end fi put Vista pan ah diet, an loose som ah di fat. For example:

I can't relate to the bad experiences with Vista and I've been using it since it came out. I didn't like that it took a number of attempts to get SPs 1 &amp; 2 installed, but apart from that, it works like a charm.
