Has anyone heard of this? I just got an email warning not to open any emails title WTC or 9/11 b/c they can erase the whole C drive.

To avoid the most common infections you should first of all run a virus scanner but it also helps to NEVER OPEN the following types of files in an email environment (unless you've scanned the file and you know its from a trusted source).

These file types are the ones that are most commonly used to infect PC's:

CMD HTA BAT VBS JAVA PL PIF SCR OCX DLL EXE PPS
CHM EML DBX HLP MHT LNK REG SHS VBE WSF WSH WAB

Also don't inadvertently open any e-mail without a title or a person’s name, who it came from.
